Pregnancy and Stress

Pregnancy is a very delicate phase of a woman’s life where a woman has to stay careful and healthy in order to make her baby healthy and for that, a healthy lifestyle is very much needed.

Maternal care is very much needed as the fetus grows. Feeling stressed is very much usual during pregnancy because in pregnancy a woman’s body goes through countless changes, so as the mind. So these changes could add stresses to a woman’s life.

Morning sickness, hormonal changes, family problems, work related issues, body- shaming can cause these add on stress in life which could result in premature delivery, miscarriage, afterbirth health problems like Asthma and Wheezing in children and many more.

Stress also might affect how you retort to certain situations. Some women deal with stress by smoking cigarettes, drinking alcohol or taking street drugs, which can lead to serious health problems in you and you baby.

Therefore reducing stress is very much needed to have a healthy child and to do that, maintaining healthy lifestyle, trying relaxation activities like yoga or meditation and spending time in some recreation may help.

Moreover, pregnancy and childbirth is not an easy task to perform. So ask for help from people you trust and accept help when they offer.
