“It’s Raining Grammys For India” AR Rahman Drops Selfie With Shankar Mahadevan, Zakir Hussain And Selva Ganesh

Grammys For India PM Narendra Modi exuded good sportsmanship as he congratulated the Grammy winners from India, despite his song ‘Abundance in Millets’ losing at the famed awards. He took to X (Formerly Twitter) to share his heartfelt message congratulating the five winners–Rakesh Chaurasia, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, Selvaganesh Vinayakram, and Ganesh Rajagopalan–for making India proud.

Shankar Mahadevan and his fellow members from Shakti made India proud at the 66th Annual Grammy Awards. Shakti, a collaboration featuring John McLaughlin, Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, V. Selvaganesh, and Ganesh Rajagopalan, was awarded the Grammy Award for their work, The Moment. The album has won Best Global Music Album. Shankar and his team members were present at the Grammys to accept the award. Now, AR Rahman has congratulated the team.

Two-time Grammy Award winner AR Rahman also rejoiced in the multiple wins by Indian musicians at the iconic awards this year. The actor shared a selfie with the winners Zakir Hussain, Shankar Mahadevan, and Selavaganesh, and wrote, “It’s raining #GRAMMYs for India Congrats Grammy winners (sic).”
