Originated in Wuhan, COVID-19 had reigned the world for almost three years and though the world has managed to overcome this terror, it still continues to spread the damages bit by bit.
And now, it has found its accomplice in China again. The respiratory illness in China, commonly known as the influenza situation in China, are now taking numerous lives, and the victims are mainly children. This illness has entered India and so the country is waving a red flag as the six states of India are on high alert mode. This comes after Centre’s directive to review readiness in view of the surge abroad. Rajasthan, Karnataka, Gujarat, Uttarakhand, Haryana and Tamil Nadu have reportedly asked hospitals and healthcare staff to ensure preparedness to tackle patients complaining of respiratory issues.The Govt. of Karnataka has also asked its people to be aware of the seasonal flu, while listing symptoms, risk factors of seasonal flu, and maintain the dos and don’ts.
The people are advised here, to cover the mouth and nose while coughing or sneezing. They should wash hands frequently, avoid touching the face and wear masks in crowded spots.
According to the local reports that the advisory issued by Rajasthan health department said the situation is “not worrisome at present” but the medical staff should remain alert, keep vigil and prevent spread of infectious diseases.
The Govt. of Rajasthan ordered to make adequate arrangements in the pediatric units and medicine departments for extra security.Now if we look at Gujarat, the Gujarat health minister Rushikesh Patel informed that theirhealthcare infrastructure created during the Covid-19 pandemic was being strengthened as a precautionary measure in view of the China situation. The government has asked the officials to review their readiness.
The health officials of Uttarakhand and Haryana are also preparing themselves for the respiratory illnesses, especially the districts of Uttarakhand — Chamoli, Uttarkashi and Pithoragarhthat share borders with China. Let’s hope that this situation does get better so that another pandemic won’t get the chance to be born.
